Hannah I love you!

"Who is Hannah?" and "why do you love her?" These may be the first questions you ask yourself from my title.

Let me tell you a little story first. My husband and my 10th anniversary came up this year and much to my surprise he gave me a wonderful gift. I was so excited about it and then I started thinking. Where was this place, why haven't I heard of it before, where did he find it?

So, with much apprehension I made the appointment and found myself of this little street in St. Catharines looking at a white, simple building on Bond St. Upon entering, I was greeted by name from a lovely lady with her hair pulled up and a simple set of comfortable clothes on. She had a smile ready for me and invited me in.

Leaving my shoes at the entrance I took in the calm and quaint surrounding of this serene blue room where I was the only guest. Directed to a fashionable black chair on a platform I was offered a selection of tea, a very tasty biscotti and a foot soak. Ahhh! How lovely to have quiet time and a hot tea. This doesn't happen often with kids in the house.

After my tea, I changed into a towel and was escorted to a massage table wrapped in a deep blue luxurious blanket. Music played and scents of lavender and bergamont filled the room.

Pausing my story there. If you haven't figured it out I went for a massage. Oh bliss. According to the Webster's New Dictionary bliss is perfect happiness. A very fitting name for Hannah's signature 2 hour massage. She combines aromatherapy, hot stone massage and reflexology.

So, back to the story. After I was settled on the table I was perfectly happy!!!! Her pressure was just perfect! Not too light and there was no pain involved! And, there was no need to talk. She didn't make conversation. Just let you melt away every care and enjoy the massage.

Never having experienced hot stone massage before I was now introduced to my all time favourite massage. The stones were so warm and smooth that they seemed to melt into your skin and work out every little bit of tension that existed in your body. The full 2 hours went so fast but I felt absolutely glorious! No aches, twinges or stiffness!

After quietly and slowly getting up from the table I changed into my clothes and floated out the door.
